Passionfruit

We have some passionfruit vines growing on our back deck fence and the pool fence. We do not look after them at all (you are suppose to fertilise them every month). Last year we got a total of 6 off the vines. This year there have been over 50 on the vines and so far there have been 14 that we have been able to pick. They can only be picked once they turn purple and they take a long time to become purple. Also, the cockatoos like to pick them off and have a tiny nibble before throwing them aside (this drives me nuts). We are not huge fans of passionfruit in this family but I made a lovely cheese cake from them. I am quite proud of them. Ripe and ready to be picked.
Damian helps me to pick the purple ones.

Christmas Eve with mum and dad

We had a lovely roast turkey dinner on Christmas eve to celebrate Christmas and dad's birthday.

For Aunty Judy and Hannah

Summer has come with some lovely warm days. I could finally put Carly into the gorgeous dress you gave her. She looks so pretty in it.

Mitch and Dad also went down to Perisher Blue for the last of the decent snow. Mitch did well, except for when he disappeared over the side of the mountain. Dad was behind and said he truly thought Mitch was done for. As it turned out, Mitch, after somersaulting for some time, was launched back into the proper skiing position. The man on the chairlift above yelled, "Looked good from up here!!". Mitchell's expression post crash can be seen above.

Mitch and I doing washing up at the Hospital. The staff were on strike so the executives put together a roster. We discovered that people a) don't take their medication b) forget to put their hearing aids back in and c) don't eat speech pathology thickened fluids and mashed food.

A couple of pictures of Bundes. He sees Dad as his master, Mum as his servant, Mitch as his friend, and Matt and I as accessories to his comfort/possible friends.

Updating from Brisbane: Mitchell just graduated from high school. It was a "girls choice" formal, and Mitch was asked by the girl in the photo, Christine. He's currently up at the Whitsunday's on the church schoolies trip. I believe they are experiencing mildly cyclonic weather.

Spring

It is so nice to have some sunny days to get out in the garden. Carly loves being outside and Damian loves to water the garden.
