Every time we see this clip, we have the uncontrollable urge to sell our house and hit the road.

Fishing and Bridal Veil Falls
Lane at Vivian Park. We got there just in time to see the Heber Creeper roll in.
I've been wanting to take Hana fishing, so today we packed a picnic and went up to the children's fishing hole at Vivian Park. After hours of planning and anticipation, we finally cast our line in and tried our luck. Which wasn't very good, because the pole snapped on our very first cast. Oh well. I patched it back together, and Hana was just as happy dangling the lure in the water. It may have worked out for the best anyway, since I don't know what I would have done if we'd actually managed to catch anything.

After running errands on Thursday, we decided on a whim to go up to Bridal Veil Falls. It was scorching hot, even in the canyon, so we all took off our shoes for a quick wade in the water.
Happy Independence Day!
Here we are at the Stadium of Fire. The kids were really good (what a relief), although that may have had something to do with our "all you can eat" sugar policy. We saw Brooks and Dunn in concert, which I thought was great. Andrew thought they sang an awful lot about honky tonks. Lane danced along to the music and fell asleep for the fireworks. Hana's favorite part was the skydivers who brought the flag into the stadium. Katrina was particularly thrilled to see Corbin Bleu live in concert.
Fun with Katrina
